Park Sung-Hyun bagged her third win at the LPGA Texas Classic last Sunday, at the Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas, USA. She finished her game by gaining one shot ahead of American runner-up Lindy Duncan. Park shot five under par in the final round with five birdies, two bogeys, and an eagle.

Despite having a slow start in this particular tournament with her bogey on the par-4 first, she did make up for it by scoring a chip-in eagle on the par-5 fourth and managed to tie at the lead. She got seven under par with an eagle from 30 yards, and she got a sole lead at eight-under-par with a 1-meter birdie putt on the par-4 sixth. She also managed to extend her lead with back to back birdies at the eighth and ninth hole and got to 10 under par.

“After this win, I feel like I can finish out the season a lot easier,” Park said.  “I’m really excited about the rest of the season.”

This title is Park’s first victory since August of last year, and her third victory in the LPGA. She is the fourth Korean to win a tournament in this current season. Along with the trophy, Park will take home $195,000 as her prize money.

The LPGA Tour will continue after a week in Williamsburg, Virginia for the Kingsmill Championship. This tournament, sponsored by Geico, will run from May 17 to May 20. Find out more about the latest LPGA news by visiting us at 777iGame.
